Happy Thanksgiving!

To be honest, this has been one of the crappiest years of my life with everything that has happened. But I still believe I should remain grateful for all the good things that I have, despite how terrible things are right now. And that is why I love Thanksgiving. It reminds me to be thankful for everything and everyone I love. I try to still keep this mind set on a daily basis, but it’s not that easy when I get so wrapped up in my problems (yes, I admit I can be a baby at times). Nonetheless, it’s important to keep a positive outlook on life.

First off, I am thankful for food! Food is my life and I am always up to try new and delicious food. This may be cliche, but pumpkin pie is my ultimate favorite Thanksgiving dessert. It’s even better with whipped cream or vanilla bean ice cream.

And of course, I am thankful for the people in my life – family, boyfriend, friends whom I love dearly. Without them, I would lose all the  joy and happiness out of life. Though they can annoy me in many ways, at the end of the day, it’s important to appreciate them and not take them for granted.

Have a wonderful thanksgiving fellow WordPress bloggers! :]

H&M plaid shirt: I love how rustic this shirt looks. I really really like it! I love the tweed elbow patches and how there are a bit of tweed in some parts of the shirt as well. It really adds a nice touch to it. It gives me a feeling like I’m living in the countryside when I’m wearing it. It’s much thicker than the other plaid shirts I own so it’s perfect for winter.

Tela Cold Shoulder Lace Tee from Urban Outfitters: I just bought this shirt online today so I cannot wait until it arrives! It looks so simple and effortless, which are the kind of clothes I am usually drawn to. The lace at the sleeve also makes it feminine. I love these long shirts/tunic because they are so versatile. It can be a dress (worn with a belt), worn as a shirt tucked into jeans/shorts, and worn with leggings/tights.

I also got another long shirt from H&M. It’s coral, has a pocket on the side, and extremely soft! I don’t have a picture since I can’t find it on the H&M site or anywhere else. But it’s super comfy and casual. You could also make your look more fancy and formal depending on what you wear with it. Again, I love clothes with lots of versatility and function!

Movie: Beginners

I really enjoyed this movie. The story was really sad, but it felt real. It’s about love, loss, and finding love again. Arthur, the dog, is the cutest.

My top 5 favorite makeup

1. Blush! Because I have such pale skin that almost resembles a zombie on certain cold days, I can always benefit from a nice and subtle pink/rosy blush on my cheeks. I am currently using Sonia Kashuk’s beautifying blush in pink. It’s not glittery so I like that too. It makes me look healthier! Haha.

2. Matte Lipstick: I love matte lipsticks! I prefer matte than shiny/glossy lipsticks because I like the vintage and classy look that it gives to my face. The one I’m using right now is a Sephora brand, but the color I have is peach instead of the color shown above and I absolutely adore it. The color is not too light or dark and it looks youthful.

3. Liquid Eyeliner: I’ve always liked eyeliner, but I find the pencil eyeliner particularly difficult to apply. Maybe because I was a newb. However, I recently tried liquid eyeliner and I fell in love with it! It’s much easier for me to apply liquid eyeliner for some odd reason. I am using NYC’s liquid eyeliner which is inexpensive and it’s good quality in my opinion. I love how it intensifies my overall look.

4. Matte mineral foundation: I don’t use foundation too often, but I really like this matte mineral foundation from Bare Minerals.  I like how it doesn’t irritate my skin and it looks much more natural (as if I’m not wearing makeup!) than liquid foundation. It’s also healthier for the skin so that is always a plus. :]

5. Chapstick/lip balm: I’m not sure if this is considered makeup, but I’ll include it anyways since it’s so essential for me to keep my lips moisturized. I honestly cannot live without chapstick! I’ve been using the EOS lip balm and it’s soooooo cute. I love how it looks like an egg and a half peeled lychee. I have the summer fruit flavor and it seriously smells like lychee too. I want to eat it.

Christmas themed dresses!

I would choose these dresses to wear on Christmas if I could afford all of these lovely beautiful dresses from ASOS! The last one is a knitted dress and it’s definitely more casual compared to the rest. But when I think of winter and Christmas, besides hot chocolate and cute little elves, I think of knitted sweaters! I also love the color scheme of these dresses. Obviously, there is red and green since it is Christmas. But they are not the typical Christmas red and green that we usually see. The green is more of a turquoise color which I think is very refreshing and not dull. And the red here is more rich and luscious. And you can never go wrong with sparkly ivory, elegant sapphire, and angelic white. Ahhhh, I love the anticipation for Christmas!

Hello wordpress. I’m not exactly sure what to write in here yet. Maybe I’ll pick certain topics of interest each time and write about them. Hmmm..sounds good for now!
